Urban Legend-Myst City Legend of the unknown

This post will be the first "Urban Legend" that I encounter and like any other legend there is no confirmation about the truth behind the story. It spread from one person to the other without having any detail information causing this "Legend" to posses several version of how it really goes. This one is only one of those version.

The story was told this way:

This is a true story and it happened to a friend of my friend. It's just a while ago in which this story occurs. This friend of my friend was visiting his girlfriend in Myst City and because of the distance of his house is not too far he decided to walk. Just as he exit the city gate, he hears a footstep following him from behind. He turns and no one is behind him but as he continue his step the sound started again. So he speeds up his footstep and the sound of the footstep started to sound more loud and more rapid. So he ran and finally was able to reach his house. Just as he thought everything was over someone is banging at his door. He then look through the window at the side of the door and there she was standing in front of the gate of his house, "The Princess".

The first thing that come across my mind after hearing the word Urban Legend was "not true" or simply a story that grow to big that the original story does no longer match the that remembered. But with all the story teller seems to be certain with their story and all the evidence exist somewhere with no means of getting it. The truth seems to be true yet unattainable somehow. With all the witness of the story seems only became the "third person" who tells the story and the actual witness take the role of "a friend of my friend" or "the one my brother/sister used to know".

Everything seems to have fall into pieces every time someone tries to gather all the pieces together. So it seems like a stupid idea to find the truth behind those Urban Legend. Cause we could never find enough truth for us to take any conclusion about the Legend itself. But stupid as it may seems an interesting idea it is indeed. Cause curiosity is our based motivation on living in this world.

Right now, my search for Urban Legend will be in South East Asia and what could be more interesting to search than "the ghost encounter story". Cause in Asia Urban Legend of this kind, comes up quite often. So Let Start the Hunt./
